Thumbs
I promise to follow up with more ruminations on the justice system. Meanwhile, I have watched some TV and had to offer my opinions.
Thumbs up to "Alias" for an episode that finally acknowledged the fact that Sydney and Vaughn are entirely boring. I can't be the only one out there who preferred her fling with Will to this snore of a romance, so boring it wasn't even allowed to exist without Sydney's mysterious disappearance and Vaughn's pseudo-marriage to a double agent. All of that had to happen to keep the actual relationship from putting people to sleep. Remember when Sydney and Will impersonated rock stars and Will ordered five bottles of champagne? Now, that was fun.
So that was a good show this week. On the other hand, "The OC" deserves a big punch in the nose for the hideous Sandy subplot. How many times have we heard him talk about how he's been crazy about Kirsten ever since he came to Berkeley? Now we're supposed to believe he only got together with her because his "real" girlfriend blew something up and fled to Canada? This storyline stands apart from all the other ridiculous things that happen on "The OC," for its absurdity and its utterly clunky writing. Did you notice that a "Basil Exposition" got the credit for writing those scenes? No? Well, he should have.
TV, TV. You'd never know it, but I've been mostly doing homework lately.
