I won't tell if you won't
Some clever Floridian has managed to sneak dirty words past the license plate office. I saw this plate outside a coffee shop the other day:
OMG WTF
Nice going!
This would make a nice twist on one of those perennial stories feature writers take up every so often -- the obscene or insulting letter-and-number combos that states will recognize and ban, from both vanity plates and the randomly generated ones. Those who would pay extra for custom-printed cuss words have to get more and more subtle, but of course they're always one step ahead of the government. It was fun to see one that slipped under the radar.
The best license plate I've ever seen wasn't obscene or insulting, but it was one step ahead of the government:
MWWMWMWW
Newsflash
A little card on my table here at the student union informs me that this is Awareness Week. Each day, we are to grow more aware of some topic or another.
Monday, the schedule says, was Sex Awareness Day. Now I wasn't on campus on Monday, but I'd venture to guess that as of that day, UF students were already aware of sex. For those who weren't, I hope Monday's activities proved enlightening.
