Pizza and a hero
Tonight on Archer Road two large plastic buckets rolled off a truck and landed in traffic. They were big and solid, and when cars hit them, they turned into spinning hazards. Anyone crossing the street on foot would have had to play a combination of Human Frogger and Human Donkey Kong.
Enter Mario, or Luigi. While I waited for a red light, a pizza-delivery boy heroically stepped out of his car and fetched one of the deadly buckets, placing it on a traffic island. There was another one in the left-turn lane, and I would have signaled to him to get it, too, but the light over there turned green. At least he made the road slightly safer.
Thanks, pizza boy. It is good to know Papa John is looking out for me.
