Blog days of summer
These days, you can find me scratching and pawing at the ground as I hammer together the pieces of the stories I've been working on all summer. From a massive heap of information about technology in education in these millennial times, I am building four entertaining, informative and (I hope) airtight stories, each intended for a different audience or publication. This isn't the kind of writing I did before, dashing off stories on a daily deadline. That's just as tough in its own way, but this stuff makes my brain work so hard I can almost hear it.
But there's time for fun, too. Although I haven't told it to the world in blog entries, I've been racking up some road trip experiences, especially in Florida state parks. The ones I've visited recently include Itchetucknee, Fort Clinch, Payne's Prairie and the Devil's Millhopper. You can sample them all here.
Contest for readers: Match the above parks with the most important thing a visitor should bring to each one.
A) Bug repellent - Nicaragua strength
B) Binoculars
C) Inflatable tube or raft
D) Umbrella
